Today AIDIA STUDIO received The Rifat Chadirji Prize 2019 for the Barjeel Museum For Modern Art project in a ceremony held in Amman, Jordan. 145 people from around the globe flew into the Jordanian capital to take part in this event. The gala started with an exhibition of the projects and continued into the award ceremony.
Rolando Rodriguez Leal representing the studio was presented with The Rifat Chadirji Prize trophy by Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi, the Founder of the Barjeel Art Foundation.
The statuette itself is designed by an internationally celebrated Iraqi Artist, Dia Azzawi, and is inspired by the built work of Rifat Chadirji. Dia Azzawi has generously given the design and the production of 25 sculptures as gift to Tamayouz Award in appreciation of Rifat Chadirji’s cultural role in Iraq and the wider region.
